KIP-1165 — Object Compaction for Diskless

Discussion Tiered Storage

Discarded KIP proposing object compaction for diskless topics, a background process to merge and rewrite shared log segment objects in object storage to reclaim space and manage object proliferation. Discarded because a design change in KIP-1163 eliminated the need for a separate compaction mechanism.
