Tuning Recommendation
| Profile | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| broker / durability | 3 | Replication factor 1 means a single broker failure permanently destroys all data on that partition. Factor 3 tolerates simultaneous loss of 1 broker (with min.insync.replicas=2) without data loss or availability interruption. This is the single most important durability setting. |
